GYPSY'S DRUM BIO
Gypsy's love of music began with drumming in the his 4th grade stage band. Drumming in marching band came next, then drumming in the school chorus band. Soon a local band would sneak him into the back of a small night club to play the drums. After that, he had no problem, and played in many bands of all genres.
His life took a sudden turn when he was handed two personal losses, sending him away from all he knew and on a Spiritual Quest for Truth. Studying world religions and philosophy, he helped run the Deep Woods Apothecary shop along with an alternative school for kids and community center. Drum circles opened up a spiritual line between Spirit and Gypsy to the point of him wanting to share what he had found. Currently, his good friend and he are working finish their first CD as Concrete Jungle Tribe. His work includes recording percussions for several studios, and playing in the Dallas-Ft Worth area and at an Arlington, TX sweat lodge, along with church related workshops and even weddings.
RELEASING YOUR SONG
Gypsy believes that, although form in drumming is important, it is just as important to release your Life Song. In each of us there is a natural rhythm of our Life Song. When we let go and let Spirit Guide us, our Life Song will be released. This will be the Song of our Life. At times it will go fast, then other times slow down. Each different than all the rest, but a Sound of Beauty, telling a story of our journey. When played with others, it is the Song of the Universe.
